"Has anybody thought of 3D printing teeth?
"3D bioprinting is a real thing. It's happening at the University of Sydney in Australia, and a biotech company called Organovo out in San Diego. They're using a combination of stem cells, growth factors, and biocompatible scaffolds to build the building blocks of teeth, dental pulp, surrounding tissue, and so on.
"There's been some early success in animal models. We're certainly still a long way from printing a lower first molar, but this is exciting progress in an area that could absolutely revolutionize the world of dentistry.
"Stay tuned, but for now, let's get back to work."
