U.K.-based dental implant provider 21D has launched ArchOS, an artificial intelligence platform designed to plan full-arch dental implant cases.
Dentists submit cone-beam computed tomography, intraoral, and facial scans to the platform, which segments the patient's anatomy, plans bone reduction and implant positioning, and designs the prosthetic. The system returns a full treatment plan in approximately 16 minutes, according to the company. Surgery takes about three hours, and a custom-manufactured kit -- including guides, implants, and prosthetics -- ships within roughly three weeks.
