ADHA charitable arm rebrands

The American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) has renamed its charitable arm from the Institute for Oral Health (IOH) to the ADHA Foundation, restoring the name it held from 1978-1986.

The change aligns with the start of ADHA’s new fiscal year and leadership, with most program names staying the same except the IOH General Research Grant, now called the ADHA Foundation General Research Grant.

Additionally, two new scholarships will launch in the fall and winter, including a $2,500 Sensodyne scholarship for bachelor’s students and a $1,000 Bright Smiles scholarship for master’s students focused on children’s oral health. In the past three years, the foundation has awarded $461,413 to 155 members, according to the ADHA.
