CareQuest Innovation Partners and Kno2 announced a partnership that seeks to assimilate dental care into the U.S. health information exchange infrastructure.
Because dental care is not connected with medical electronic health networks, clinicians may miss drug interactions, potential complications, or systemic conditions that could affect treatment, the companies said in a press release announcing the collaboration. Two electronic dental record platforms have signed on as launch partners, with a go-live launch planned in six months.
