Smile Source, a dentist-led network for private practice dentistry, launched a lab module within its Smile Source Marketplace, giving member practices a centralized way to manage lab workflows alongside routine purchasing.
The module allows practices to submit and track lab cases, communicate with participating labs, and review reporting from within the same platform they already use for purchasing, Smile Source said. According to Tom Rimmer, Smile Source's vice president of partnerships, the tool is intended to improve transparency and communication and speed turnaround times for member practices.
The lab module is now available to all Smile Source members, part of a network that includes more than 800 practice locations and 1,200 dentists nationwide.
