Planmeca's new options: the Planmeca Pro40 (right) and the Planmeca Pro50 S.Planmeca.
Planmeca has introduced two new dental units -- the Planmeca Pro40 and the Planmeca Pro50 S -- expanding its operatory equipment portfolio with units built around digital integration, ergonomics, and infection control.
The Planmeca Pro40 builds on the company's established side-lifting design, featuring a seven-inch touchscreen interface, automated waterline cleaning, personal clinician presets via the Planmeca PlanID sign-in, and viscoelastic memory foam upholstery. It supports six instruments, accommodates patients up to 200 kg, and shares the same installation architecture as existing Planmeca Compact units, making upgrades straightforward for existing customers, Planmeca said.
The Planmeca Pro50 S takes a different approach -- it is compact and ambidextrous, with a 12.3-inch user interface, direct connectivity to the Planmeca Romexis software platform, a modular configuration, and a minimal footprint suited to a wide range of treatment room sizes. The unit is constructed from recyclable aluminum and is designed with sustainability in mind.
Both units are available through Planmeca's authorized partners.
