DTA Foundation prepares for National Brush Day

The Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) Foundation is gearing up for National Brush Day on November 1, an annual observance held the day after Halloween to promote children's oral health and reinforce brushing for two minutes, twice a day.

This year's campaign continues the foundation's #NBDDentSquad initiative, featuring four oral health superheroes: Captain Paste, Doctor Brush, Floss Fury, and The Cool Rinse.

Families can join by completing coloring sheets and activities and sharing them on social media with #NBDDentSquad or uploading them to nationalbrushday.com for a chance to win one of five $100 Amazon gift cards. The foundation is also offering free downloadable resources for families, dental professionals, and organizations.

Tim Long, DTA Foundation board chair and chief commercial officer at A-dec, said the foundation wants to bring as many kids and families as possible into this year's celebration, calling early habit-building an important step toward giving every child a healthy, confident smile.

The DTA Foundation supports initiatives advancing oral health, strengthening the dental workforce, and expanding access to care through scholarships, educational programs, and community partnerships. More information is available at DTAFoundation.org.
