Do’s and don’ts for moving past a plateau

Getting unstuck is a very important aspect for almost every dental practice, because most practices today will experience plateaus. The difference between the highly successful practice and others that aren’t as successful is that highly successful practices break through their plateaus faster.

Practice Success Do

Raise your fees. We often recommend increasing hygiene fees in 2% to 3% increments. This increase will probably go unnoticed if your service is excellent.

Practice Success Dont

Don’t forget to collect your money. Implement a multistep collection method that includes providing a discount for paying upfront, accepting all convenient credit cards, collecting money in multiple installments before the last appointment, reminding patients of their balance at each appointment, and offering patient financing. Implementing these methods with the right scripting can create a powerful system that allows for a 99% annual collection rate.
