Dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca will integrate Pearl’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based software, Second Opinion, into its imaging platform Romexis.
Second Opinion assists dentists in detecting dental diseases by analyzing bitewings and periapical and panoramic x-rays of patients age 12 and older. Second Opinion will provide AI evaluations of 2D intraoral x-ray images captured directly within Romexis. The integration will be available for Romexis users worldwide soon, according to Pearl.
