Overjet launches Ivy, an AI insurance coordinator for treatment cost estimates

Overjet has launched Ivy, which the company calls the first artificial intelligence insurance coordinator that helps practices provide accurate treatment cost estimates before care begins.

Ivy verifies eligibility and benefits, checks coverage limits and exclusions, gets real-time payer feedback, and calls insurers when information isn't readily available. It combines those findings with the practice's fee schedule to build each estimate, showing the remaining benefits, deductibles, and frequency limits behind the number.

Early customers report time and revenue gains, according to Overjet. Misty Butler, the insurance coordinator at Carolina Pines Dentistry, said Ivy saves her a full week of work, or 32 hours. Signature Periodontics reports collecting $100 to $200 more per day at each of its three locations, according to Christy Samson, director of office administration.

"Ivy helps the team find the answers and catch the details that change a patient's bill, so they can explain costs before treatment," said Wardah Inam, founder and CEO of Overjet.

Ivy also connects with participating payers through Overjet's ReviewPass, which gives real-time feedback on whether eligible claims can bypass manual clinical review. ReviewPass availability varies by payer and procedure, and estimates and review results are not guarantees of coverage or payment.

The launch includes patient cost estimates, a redesigned dashboard, and payer-calling capabilities.
