Carestream Dental has launched the CS 2500P hand-held x-ray unit in the U.S., offering practices a portable intraoral imaging option with 70 kV output comparable to wall-mounted systems.
The device requires no installation, can be shared across multiple operatories, and it works with a wide range of intraoral receptors. A patented light-beam guidance system helps reduce positioning errors and retakes while internal shielding and backscatter protection address safety requirements. An ergonomic design with a stabilizing shoulder strap supports steady handheld use, and a high-capacity battery supports full-day operation, according to Carestream.
