Overjet adds hands-free hard-tissue and natural voice perio charting

Overjet has launched hands-free hard-tissue charting and natural voice periodontal charting within Overjet Voice, allowing providers to complete an exam using natural speech while the system captures periodontal measurements, restorative findings, billing codes, and clinical notes directly into the practice management system (PMS).

The hard-tissue charting feature listens throughout a visit and converts findings on decay, existing restorations, missing teeth, and planned treatment into structured odontogram entries for provider review before submission to the PMS.

For practices using Overjet's Vision AI, providers can verbally confirm x-ray findings flagged by Vision for the same hands-free charting. Hard-tissue charting is available now on CareStack, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Dentrix Core, Dentrix Ascend, and Denticon, with more integrations planned, at no additional cost to existing Voice subscribers.

The natural perio charting update lets hygienists and dentists speak measurements in their own words and sequence rather than following a fixed command format. According to Overjet, the underlying model was trained on more than 50 million training-token exposures and understands natural phrasing with more than 98% accuracy.

Both features are available now to all Overjet Voice subscribers with no additional hardware or workflow changes.
