The California-based MemorialCare Medical Group and dental service organization (DSO) Pacific Dental Services (PDS) will open 25 integrated primary health and dental locations.
The partnership is possible due to the shared electronic health record capabilities of the Epic system, which aims to ensure seamless coordination of care and ease of access to dental and health records for patients and providers, the organizations stated in a press release. Through the partnership, several co-located practices will open each year over the next five years, with PDS-supported dental offices located within select MemorialCare health centers in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
