The Association for Dental Safety (ADS) announced the winners of its 2026 leadership awards during its annual conference on May 27 in Salt Lake City.
Honorees include:
- Michelle Lee, who received the Dr. James J. Crawford Award for lifetime achievement.
- Denise Sabol, MEd, was honored with the Dr. Milton Schaefer Award for service
- The Emerging Infection Control Leader Award recipient was Bhumika Patel, RDH, of the University of the Pacific’s Dugoni School of Dentistry
- Dr. Enrique Acosta-Gio, PhD, who received the Bette and Paul Schwarz Award for Volunteerism
- Dr. Erinne Kennedy, MPH, MMSc, received the James A. Cottone Award for Excellence in Investigative Research
- ADS also presented chair citation awards to Dr. Marie Fluent; Nancy Dewhirst, RDH; Dr. Ramneek Rai; Liliana Donatelli, MBA, MPH; Eve Cuny, MS; and Matthew Ellis, MPH
