More dentists using online surveys for patient reviews

More than a third of dental practices are using online surveys to solicit new patient reviews, according to a survey by 1-800-DENTIST.

The study by the company's online marketing software, Patient Activator, showed that more than half of dental practices nationwide are now asking patients to review them, according to a press release. The most common method of requesting reviews is asking patients while they are in the office, the study found.

Among Patient Activator users, 91% are using email to request patient feedback. Responses gathered by the software are automatically converted into reviews with the option to post them to the practice's microsite.

Patient Activator also provides a review builder tool kit, which lets dental offices request reviews for major review sites such as Yelp and Google.
