Planmeca launches new CBCT device

Planmeca has launched a new cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) device, the Planmeca Viso G3, for the North American market.

Designed for 2D and 3D extraoral imaging, the machine aims to offer exceptional usability and image quality. It features a field of view ranging from 3 x 3 cm to 20 x 10 cm and improved patient safety with the Planmeca ultralow dose protocol.

Additionally, the device features the Planmeca CALM algorithm for motion artifact correction, which aims to reduce retakes and radiation exposure. Also, it is designed for future growth, with upgrade options to the Planmeca Viso G5 for larger 3D volumes and compatibility with the Planmeca ProCeph one-shot cephalostat for expanded treatment capabilities.
