Through effective daily meetings, practices can enjoy a significantly productive day. When practices fail to hold consistent morning meetings, chaotic, stressful days are often the result. Morning meetings keep doctors and teams focused -- if handled correctly.

Do

Keep it short. There's no need for long morning meetings. It's all about what matters that day. Save big topics for staff meetings. But morning meetings are important. Practices that give up having morning meetings do so because they consistently ran too long. Ten to 15 minutes is usually appropriate.

Don't

Don't run late. The dentist and the team have a busy day ahead. There is no sense adding to the pressure by ending the morning meeting late and starting the day behind schedule.
