If you caught the recent Monday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens, you probably noticed Lamar Jackson's smile and how it shone in the prime-time lights.
Jackson, a two-time MVP in the NFL, has a diamond-encrusted grill that he wears during games just as much as he does off the field. Of course, his mouthpiece helps not only protect his smile but those valuable diamonds.
What do you need to know about the grill? Jackson recently opened up about it and how it fits his overall style.
Of course, Jackson isn't the only NFL player choosing to express himself through diamond grills. Check out some other players talking to kid reporters about their mouths and when exactly they are wearing the grills.
Of course, while wearing a grill can make a fashion statement, it also poses some issues to one's oral health. The ADA posted information for the public on what to know about grills and how to keep your teeth and gums healthy if you wear one.
"At present there are no studies that show that grills are harmful to the mouth -- but there are no studies that show that their long-term wear is safe, either," the ADA said.
