Scheduling is now open for Aspen Dental's Day of Service, an annual event providing free dental care to veterans at more than 550 participating offices nationwide on November 7. For the first time, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers will join the effort, donating up to $1 million in free full-arch treatment to veterans referred by Aspen Dental doctors in 21 markets. Both brands are part of The Aspen Group (TAG).
Bob Fontana, founder, chairman, and CEO of The Aspen Group, said the event gives veterans a chance to eliminate pain, restore their confidence, and receive thanks for their service.
About 1 in 4 of the nearly 9 million veterans enrolled in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system qualify for VA dental benefits, according to the VA, leaving many without regular access to care.
During the Day of Service, Aspen Dental teams focus on urgent needs through a limited exam and x-rays, which may include a filling, extraction, cleaning, or denture repair. In ClearChoice markets, an Aspen Dental doctor will identify and refer one veteran for a comprehensive evaluation, with qualifying candidates receiving fixed full-arch treatment at no cost, advancing ClearChoice's goal of changing 1 million lives by 2030.
The Day of Service marks the first milestone in TAG's five-year, $100 million commitment to expand its Healthy Mouth Movement for veterans and underserved communities.
Advance appointments are required and expected to fill quickly. Veterans can find a participating office and schedule an appointment at aspendental.com/dayofservice or by calling 844-277-3646.
