Dental products manufacturer Ultradent Products is partnering with the University of Utah School of Dentistry to provide free fluoride varnish treatments across Utah.
The initiative seeks to lessen the adverse effects of fluoride’s removal from public water in the state. Over 10,000 doses have been shipped to local health and Head Start centers, with the remainder being sent during the fall. Additionally, the university is training health workers to apply the treatment, according to the company.
